Queen cell timeline calculator.
Estimate key queen-development dates from an observation you made in the hive. Use it as a planning aid, not as proof of the exact age of a cell.
What did you observe?
Choose a stage and date to estimate the timeline.
Queen biology is not a stopwatch.
A honey-bee queen typically develops in about 16 days from egg to emergence, with capping around day 8. But a cell you first notice may already be part-way through a stage, temperature and colony conditions vary, and emergence can be missed.
Use the dates to schedule sensible checks while avoiding unnecessary disturbance around emergence and mating.

A queen-cell date is much more useful beside the previous queen sighting, eggs, brood age, management action and later evidence of emergence or laying. HiveIQ is designed to keep that sequence as trusted colony history.
