Why we're doing a free founding season
HiveIQ should be shaped by the reality of opening hives, moving queens, managing swarm risk, recording treatments and trying to remember what needs doing at the next visit. The founding programme is designed to expose the software to that reality before commercial launch.

Use HiveIQ with genuine colonies and provide practical feedback. We want to know what saves time, what is confusing, what does not work in the field and what would make you keep using it.
Who can apply?
UK hobby beekeepers, association or teaching apiaries, sideline operators and commercial beekeepers are all welcome to apply. You do not need to be highly technical.
Is the 2027 season really free?
The founding offer is for a free 2027 season for selected programme participants in exchange for practical feedback. Applying does not create a paid subscription.
When do applications close?
Applications for this founding offer close on 31 December 2026.
Do I need to use every HiveIQ feature?
No. We are interested in how different types of beekeeper naturally use the product.
What happens after 2027?
Commercial arrangements after the founding season will be communicated before any paid continuation. The 2027 application itself is not a paid commitment.
